In the latest presidential poll of the Centre for Social Opinion investigation (CBOS) Rafał Trzaskowski leads with a consequence of 34 percent of the support. The Citizen Coalition candidate does not hide his views on abortion and openly announces that he will exert “more pressure” on the ruling coalition to make the liberalisation of abortion law a reality.
Declaration that leaves no doubt
During the conversation on TVP Info, Trzaskowski expressed his position clearly:
"I will not let go of the issue of liberalisation of abortion law, due to the fact that I will put even more force on the ruling coalition to meet its promises," said the president of Warsaw.
Thus, the leader of KO clearly declares his efforts to facilitate access to abortion in Poland, despite the opposition of millions of Poles, for whom human life is an overarching value. Trzaskowski's message leaves no uncertainty – in his imagination Poland's force on power is expected to lead to legalization of abortion on request.
Will Poland under the regulation of Trzaskowski become an abortion country on request?
Trzaskowski's statements show that he does not intend to respect the voice of those who stand up for unborn children. Moreover, in his opinion, the obstacle to the liberalisation of abortion is president Andrzej Duda, whose possible veto may block changes in the law.
"If there is no alibi, I am convinced that it will be easier to put force on my colleagues and colleagues so that any of these laws that are crucial to us pass through the Sejm with a majority," said the candidate KO.
His position raises serious questions about the future of life protection in Poland. This is simply a preview of the further conflict for the right to life for unborn children, who, in the imagination of the candidate KO, are treated exclusively as a "electoral component of the game".
A choice that will decide the future of Poland
The latest poll shows that presidential elections can be crucial for the future of Poland. 71% of respondents declare their readiness to participate in the vote, and the consequence of Trzaskowski (34%) suggests their advanced chances of winning. However, for many Poles his uncompromising position on abortion can become a informing signal. Will Poland become a country where abortion on request will become a standard? The answer to this question will should be given by voters at urns.
