"At night, around 24.00 p.m. at the practice area in Załuski close Nidzica, during the night-time adaptation drive, the KTO Rosomak was knocked over. As a consequence of the event during the program classes, a soldier of the 16th Mechanized Division was killed. A second soldier, who is in hospital, was somewhat injured, and his life is not in danger," General Command stated in the announcement on X.
It was besides reported that the household of the deceased soldier had been assisted. "The Commission will explain all the causes of the accident. The investigation is conducted by the Military Police Department of Elbląg" – we read.
