Warsaw celebrated the 1000th anniversary of Bolesław Chrobry's coronation in a unique kind – picnics, concerts and historical parade, attended by Prime Minister Donald Tusk himself. But even at specified a heightened moment, there were any controversial activists from the Last Generation who tried to disrupt the celebration.
Tusk delighted with the celebration: “I am moved”
Prime Minister Donald Tusk did not hide emotion during Sunday celebrations on Kościuszkowski Coast. – "There are tens of thousands of people around us, here on Kościuszkowski Coast, there are truly amazing things happening on the Vistula Boulevards. So Warsawians and people from all over Poland celebrate the millennium of the Polish crown. (...) I am very moved” said the head of government.
The item of the event was the historical parade conducted by the typical company and orchestra of the Polish Army by the Świętokrzyski Bridge. Unfortunately, climate activists decided to usage this chance for another controversial action.
The last generation's blockade failed. There were only 2 of them!
At 6:30 p.m., erstwhile the participants headed for the National Stadium, activists with a banner appeared on the bridge: “We are blocking bridges due to the fact that the village is waiting for transport”. However, it is hard to realize the link between their protest and the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the coronation.
In this case, unfortunately, the "blockage" turned out to be highly weak – there were only 2 activists. The cleaning services immediately removed them from the march route.

Police brag about effective intervention
Warsaw police have not missed to boast their effectiveness on social media. "A flashy and effective reaction of police prevented the blocking of the march way on the Świętokrzyskie Bridge in Warsaw, where a group of people tried to disrupt the celebration of today's holiday" – written on the authoritative profile of the Warsaw Police Department.
It seems that the Last Generation loses momentum – since only 2 of them came for specified an crucial action, 1 can ask: is the movement actually dying out?
