What is the Electoral Lantern?
The Electoral Lantern is an online tool created by the Civic Education Center. Its goal is to support voters in making informed and thoughtful decisions. The flashlight works in a very simple way.
All you gotta do is go to the lighthouseborczy.pl website, click "Start Test" and answer 20 questions about the most crucial political, social and economical issues.
Based on these answers, the Lantern will show which candidates you agree most – in the form of a percent statement. He just lets us see which candidate is closest to us.
No consequence from Rafał Trzaskowski
The flashlight is based on authoritative declarations of candidates or their staff. This means that no 1 interprets their statements – each candidate answers circumstantial questions.
"It is not that we interpret their statements, which are frequently vague or vague. We ask circumstantial questions and we get concrete answers" - added Witkowski.
All candidates for president were invited to the Civic Education Centre. 11 of 13 committees responded. “We have not received an answer from Rafał Trzaskowski and Krzysztof Stanowski,” said the CEO.
Witkowski reported that Krzysztof Stanowski refused to participate in the Electoral Latarnik, explaining this "with the peculiar character of his campaign", while Rafał Trzaskowski's staff declared their willingness to send a reply, but he has not yet done so.
"We want Latarnik to let users to compare views with the positions of all candidates and candidates in elections, so we call on Rafał Trzaskowski and Krzysztof Stanowski to send their answers and declare their immediate publication on our website," he added.
The another candidates supplemented their replies with comments, which is additional analysis material for those concerned. We remind you that the first circular of the presidential election will be held on Sunday 18 May 2025. The second circular of elections is scheduled for Sunday 1 June 2025.
