The Armed Forces Agency cancelled the tender for S-70i helicopters, an export version of Black Hawk machines. As the agency's spokesperson explains, there has been a "significant change in circumstances", which has caused the performance of the order to be postponed. "Compromise" - commented erstwhile head of MON Mariusz Błaszczak, whose ministry was liable for the first negotiations for the acquisition of machinery.
Information about cancellation of the tender was confirmed by the AU spokesperson in a conversation with PAP Colonel Grzegorz Polak. - She did. significant change in circumstances making the conduct of the procedure or performance of the contract is not in the public interest - which could not have been predicted beforehand - he said.
Prime Minister Polak explained that Armed Forces Agency conducts procedures for the acquisition of equipment on the basis of Central Things Plans, created by the highest military organs. In the Polish Army, the programming of the improvement of the armed forces - and so setting priorities for the acquisition of equipment - is carried out by the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces.

S-70i helicopters This is the export version of the celebrated multitasking Black Hawks, formed in the Lockheed Martin plant owned by PZL Mielec. Plant in Mielec produces Black Hawks for export, but besides for Polish services - including police, which received 5 machines, as well as peculiar Forces, which by 2024 received a full of 8 helicopters.
There was another 1 in the plans. Order 32 Black Hawks, which was to enter the air force of the Land Army, where among others they would cooperate with Apache combat helicopters ordered in the last year. This is the order that has now been cancelled.

In his opinion, the decision to cancel the tender is "compromised"which will lead to negative consequences, including delays in replacement of chopper fleet, failure of jobs in PZL-Mielc and failure of interoperability, as Black-Hawk helicopters are already utilized in the Polish Army.
