The 3rd Road turned out to be a road... to nowhere. On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the task was completed. The Polish People's organization and Poland 2050 are now to become completely separate entities and, as announced present in the interview with journalists Szymon Hołownia, will effort to "build their own electorates" and find "where we are and where they are going". News of the Alliance's breakup came in on Tuesday night. As the talker of the Sejm revealed – “someone came out in front of the ranks” and decided to announce it sooner than planned.

After about 2 years of cooperation, the alliance of PSL and Poland 2050 ended – 3rd Road ceased to exist. The coalition tied up before the 2023 election and initially noted very good polling results. Both parties managed to accomplish a two-digit consequence in the parliamentary elections and to bring more than 60 MEPs to the Sejm. Since then, there has been a systematic decline in support of this creation, and its end has been sealed by Simon Holown in the presidential election. The 3rd Way candidate obtained only 4.99% of the votes.

Commenting on the breakdown of the project, Marshal Simon Holovnia revealed that the announcement of the end of the 3rd Road was to take place later, during a joint press conference in Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish, but “someone decided to step forward” and a leak occurred.

The holovnia announced that it was time to "build its own electorates" and find "where we are and where we are going".

Szymon Hołownia said earlier, on Tuesday evening, that it was the ultimate Council of PSL that decided to "actually complete the 3rd Way project" – Rmf24.pl states.

"The decision of the ultimate Council of our coalition PSL on the actual completion of the 3rd Way project, we accept with knowing and gratitude. I realize due to the fact that we agreed on a series of 4 elections. Gratitude, due to the fact that we both met each other's commitments, and loyalty and trust are a fundamental thing in politics," said the talker of the Sejm.

At the same time, Holownia announces that the break-up of PSL and Poland 2050 has been friendly and this is not the definitive end of cooperation between formations. He stressed that their paths are separated "as a political alliance", but not as regards common respect for each another and values.
