So far, Taiwan has ordered 29 HIMARS launchers in the United States, 11 of which went to the island last year. After the implementation of the fresh agreement, the full number of systems will increase to 57. At the same time, the order for MGM-140 ATACMS rockets was increased from 64 to 84 pieces. Each HIMARS can launch six GMLRS missiles with a scope of 70–85 kilometres or 1 ATACMS rocket capable of damaging targets 300 kilometres distant with precision from 5 to 10 metres.
