“This win is against the government, not Trzaskowski”

In this episode of the joint Morning of Radio TOK FM and “Gazeta Wyborcza” together with Prof. Ewa Marciniak, manager of the Centre for Social Opinions of the University of Warsaw, and Prof. Sławomir Sowiński from the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, we discuss the causes of a tiny but crucial win by Karol Nawrocki over Rafał Trzaskowski in the second circular of the presidential election. We are looking at the dynamics of attendance, behaviour of young voters and their anti-systemic attitude, which combined with the negative assessment of Donald Tusk's government and government affected the final outcome. We besides analyse the impact of election campaigns and strategical errors of candidates, as well as considering the future of the Polish political scene, the function of the ruling coalition and the challenges that await the Prime Minister and the president in the coming years.
