The war exposes the illusion of safety of civilian medical structures, revealing the deficiency of logistical reserves, staff shortages and insufficient integration of the civilian sector into the military. In a situation where hospitals become the mark of shelling and the supply chains of medicines and medical materials are interrupted, strategical readiness – consisting in resource integration, reserve building and changing the approach from economical efficiency to systemic resilience – is simply a necessity. Analysis of logistical, personnel and information conditions, supplemented by experience gained from the war in Ukraine, clearly indicates that the wellness strategy is simply a key component of modern military strategies, determining the ability of society to last in conditions of armed conflict.
