DJI Dock 3, the latest drone-in-a-box automated docking station, is intended to enable uniformed services to operate round-the-clock drone operations without the request for an operator in the field. The system, developed as part of the Drone as First Responder (DFR) concept, allows an automatic unmanned start and provides an image of the situation to the command center before the ground patrol arrives. This kind of solution is already being utilized by services in the United States and the United Kingdom, among others, where it is intended to support the shortening of consequence times and expanding situation awareness.
