During the Kielce XXXIII global Defence manufacture Salon, GRUPA WB signed a strategical cooperation agreement with SAAB. The partnership of 2 large entities represents another step in strengthening the relation between the Polish and Swedish arms sector.
The agreement on strategical cooperation was signed by Adam Bartosziewicz, Vice-President of the WB Group, and by Micael Johansson, president and CEO of SAAB. The event was besides attended by Peter Sandwall, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence of Sweden.
The agreement was signed at the WB Group Pavilion on the first day of the global Defence manufacture Exhibition 2025 – 1 of the most crucial defence manufacture events in Central and east Europe.
– Synergy of arms manufacture leaders in the improvement of military systems is not a choice. It's a necessity. A strong defence sector is not only an component of national security, but besides a pillar of resilience throughout Europe," said Adam Bartosziewicz, Vice president of the WB Group.

Cooperation involves developing modern military solutions and strengthening strategical defence capabilities of Poland and Sweden. The partnership aims to usage complementary competences and accelerate the implementation of innovation for the safety sector.
– Our agreement is far beyond bilateral level in this respect. We believe that future joint projects will accelerate the implementation of fresh solutions addressing the needs of dynamically changing battlefields," added WB Group vice president.
Cooperation is intended to cover the development, improvement and implementation of advanced unmanned platforms and autonomous vehicles, innovative solutions dedicated to the marine environment and specialised systems supporting border protection.

– This is another crucial step in the engagement of SAAB in the improvement of strategical defence capabilities of Poland and Sweden. Cooperation with the WB Group allows us to share cognition and make innovative solutions for national security," added Micael Johansson, CEO and CEO of SAAB.
Jointly implemented projects will respond to the needs arising from the changing characteristics of the conflict, in which autonomy and the ability to carry out activities from a distance — with a minimum hazard to the soldier.
The agreement opens up a space for the exchange of experience and the joint improvement of method solutions that will be scalable and ready to be applied in both national and global contexts, with a peculiar focus on strategical systems. The WB Group and SAAB combine the experience of national defence manufacture leaders operating in key areas of modern combat systems. Polish entity develops and integrates solutions in the field of command, communication, designation and destruction. SAAB is competent in designing electronic, sensory, marine and aviation combat systems.
