"The Parliament of Lithuania voted to retreat from the Ottawa Convention prohibiting anti-personnel mines. The procedure is to be completed within six months. In Poland, the interministerial agreement of the draft motion for denunciation of the convention takes place. In March, the defence ministers of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland agreed to support the departure from the Convention, stressing the request to defend the territory. These decisions are a reaction to the war in Ukraine, where minefields are widely used. After national arrangements, Poland will notify the another parties to the Convention. Michał Dworczyk of the Law and Justice already submitted a draft resolution on her resignation last year."
