Konrad Wysocki: Gazeta Polska:“Korean saga”“In 2022 Poland signed a contract for 1000 Korean K2 tanks, of which 820 in the K2PL version, planning production in the country from 2026. Following the change of government in 2023, the second agreement with Seoul was delayed, and yet 180 tanks (116 K2GE and 64 K2PL) and 81 accompanying wagons for USD 6.5 billion were ordered on 1 August 2024. The production of K2PL is to take place in Bumar-Łabada, with the participation of Polish manufacture in selected elements. By 2030, Poland will receive 360 tanks, including 64 K2PL, much little than planned 820, which raises criticism of restrictions on orders and the function of national establishments."
