The Sejm passed on Friday an amendment to the wellness Care Act financed by public funds and any another laws that will reduce the wellness contribution for entrepreneurs. The bill raised opposition to part of the government coalition. Members of the KO have voted for her, including Minister of wellness Isabella Lestin, who previously announced that she would vote against — and Polish 2050 and PSL politicians. Members of the Law and Justice, Left and Circles Together were opposed and the Confederacy abstained.

At a Saturday press conference in the capital of Podkarpacia Czarzasta, he stressed that the bill was unfair. He explained that citizens who would have the same income as entrepreneurs would pay twice the wellness rate.

— If individual has an income of PLN 10 thousand, he will pay a wellness contribution of PLN 770 and the entrepreneur will pay a wellness contribution of PLN 330 at the same income," he said.

Co-chair of the fresh Left added that its grouping is not against entrepreneurs, but that it believes that the backing of wellness services should be organised in a different way. He announced that his thought for a fresh wellness finance would be presented on Wednesday by the candidate of the Left as president of the Republic of Poland Magdalena Biejat and Deputy Minister of wellness Wojciech Konieczny.

Czarzasty besides pointed out that Friday's bill further increases the deficit of the National wellness Fund, which is already around PLN 20 billion, to the level of about PLN 26 billion. He said that to cover this deficit, the government had to “take the money from another place”. In his opinion, there will be little money for wellness care following the Friday bill.

— The final consequence will be the privatisation of hospitals and wellness services. The deputy marshal asked by journalists if Friday's vote could affect the functioning of the ruling coalition, he said no. “You should be totally irresponsible to go out for example due to the coalition.
