Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski powerfully criticized the migration policy of erstwhile governments and the attitude of PiS politicians on Wednesday on TVN24. The head of the MFA stressed that the past lacked a "mature unracial decision on migration" and that it was the current government that corrected the mistakes of the predecessors. Sikorski besides expressed outrage over thanks to Robert Bąkiewicz from president Andrzej Duda and president Elekta Karol Nawrocki.
Sikorski explained that a mature migration policy means recognising that there is simply a proportion of migrants in society and a stream of migration that societies are able to adopt. He besides stressed that there are streams that endanger social cohesion.
The Minister pointed out that citizens request to talk honestly about the request to defend the EU's external borders. "If we are to preserve the benefits of the Schengen area, namely freedom of travel within the EU, the external border must be firmly defended" - he said.
Controls at the Polish-German border
Sikorski explained the reasons for the introduction of control on the Polish-German border. According to him, the Germans introduced specified checks against all their neighbours, which lasted besides long. "That's why we had to reciprocate," the minister explained.
The reason for this situation is seen by the head of the MFA in the past, erstwhile there was "too much uncontrolled migration through the Mediterranean Sea, through the Balkans and a small through the Polish-Belarusian border". In his opinion, if everyone had acted like Poland, the problem of the migration stream would have subsided.
The harsh criticism of Robert Bąkiewicz
The minister expressed outrage over thanks to Robert Bąkiewicz, who set up the alleged Border Defence Movement. "I am upset as a citizen due to the fact that Mr Bąkiewicz first took money for the erstwhile power" - said Sikorski.

Sikorski powerfully criticized PiS politicians for their attitude towards the western border and migrants. He stated that "you gotta have exceptional insolence to first let in respective 100 1000 people from Muslim and African countries and then criticize".
The Minister mentioned the concrete actions of the current government: expanding the prices of Polish visas, cutting Facebook studies and visas issued to work in the EU. "We have made visas much harder to get and that these visas are much less" - he stressed.
Sikorski besides pointed out that the current government completed the barrier on the Polish-Belarusian border. During the regulation of the Law and Justice, it was 30 percent tight, and it is now 98 percent tight.
Problems with cooperation with the fresh president
The Minister was asked to cooperate with the President, Elekt Karol Nawrocki, if prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz is the Head of BBN. Sikorski admitted that there is simply a problem here due to the fact that "Cenckiewicz has prosecutorial charges for breaking state secrecy".
