We begin very crucial 2 days for the safety of the world, Europe and Poland. I am delighted that the first gathering is with Commissioner Kubilius. This is simply a fresh committee established in this parliamentary term. This is the committee that's liable for defense, for the arms industry. For the Polish Presidency, the issue of Europe's security, our borders and support for Ukraine is an absolute priority. A fewer days ago, Commissioner Kubilius presented the White Paper for a safe Europe: investments, joint purchases, resilience building, support for NATO's activities. All European investments that we will make will service national armies that are united in the North Atlantic Alliance - stressed Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence in Warsaw.

"The European Union and NATO complement each other. (...) Europe is only strong erstwhile it builds its resilience, erstwhile it builds its operational capabilities, the strength of its societies, the strength of its army and the strength of its alliance. The White Book and the things it contains are an absolute foundation for us to make specified projects. This is crucial. This is very important. Thank you, Commissioner, for creating this document. Thank you for preparing the White Paper, 1 of the key sites of which includes the Tarcza East. (...) We must effectively defend the borders of the European Union, not only against illegal migration, which we are already doing through the barrier today, through a peculiar military operation, but we must build a strategy of fortifications, terrain, drone strategy and anti-drone system, protecting the Polish territory, protecting the territory of the European Union - noted Deputy Prime Minister W. Kosiniak-Kamish.
During the meeting, the issues of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU and its priorities, among others, were discussed: Ukraine's assistance, the improvement of defence manufacture and EU-NATO cooperation. The latest initiatives of Brussels in these areas were besides discussed with the White Paper on European Defence and its ReArm Europe Plan and the proposed SAFE financial instrument.
The Head of the MON recalled that the EU safety Forum Conference on the White Paper on European Defence would start at noon.

Commissioner Kubilius's gathering with Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamish is part of his visit to Warsaw, which besides includes participation in the advanced Level Conference – EU safety Forum on the White Paper and the informal gathering of EU Defence Ministers.
