The archer focuses on modern technologies. It wants to improve production, thereby expanding its competitiveness on the market. Radom's mill has just signed a contract with the Ministry of State Acts, which will supply financial support for the implementation of the task "Robotization and Digitization of Production Processes in the Weapons Factory".
The value of the contract related to the task "Robotization and digitisation of production processes in the Weapons Factory" is PLN 25.96 million. Almost 1 3rd of this amount (PLN 8.36 million) will be allocated to Radom's “Łuchnik” as part of the National Plan for Reconstruction and Enhancing opposition (KPO). – Signing an agreement with the Ministry of State Acts is simply a key step towards modernising our production process. With financial support from the National Reconstruction Plan, we will be able to invest in state-of-the-art technologies that will improve processes, thereby expanding the competitiveness of the Weapons mill in the arms market. We are convinced that digitization and robotics will let us to accomplish a higher level of efficiency and innovation – says Seweryn Figurski, president of the Board of the “Łucznik” weapon Factory.
The task involves installing robots in the production process and introducing production monitoring and management software as well as device communication systems (M2M). Jakub Czulba, a associate of the board of the Arms Factory, points out that the planned innovations "will contribute to expanding the flexibility of production and shortening the execution time of orders". As a result, they will supply Radomian Archer with "a technological advantage and further development".
Weapons Factory recorded a production increase of 62.5% at the end of 2024. It predicts that in 2025 it will keep this trend, expanding production by a further 15%. Last year, Archer delivered 250 pieces of self-repeated selection rifles powered by 7.62x51 mm NATO (.308 Win) ammunition for the Polish Army, 9600 VIS 100 pistols and 48 147 MSBS Grot rifles.
Let us remind you that in late November 2024, the construction of a fresh hall began in Radom. It will be a 3150 m2 utility building with office and retention spaces in addition to the production space. The hall will be equipped with modern machines and equipment, including those that the company had already bought in erstwhile stages of the factory's expansion. The cost of the full investment was estimated at PLN 25 million. The fresh facility is scheduled to be opened in 2025 and coincides with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Radom Weapons Factory. “This further underlines the importance of this task for our company and its history,” said Figurski.
The “Łucznik” weapon mill is part of the Polish Armed Forces Group. He is the main maker of arms for the Polish Army, Ministry of Interior and Administration, as well as for civil market and Foreign. The archer produces among others: MSBS Grot carbines, Beryl and mini-Beryl rifles 5.56 mm × 45 NATO, PM-98 / PM-06 Glauberyt 9 mm × 19 Parabellum, P99 and PR15 self-repeated pistols and sports weapons and training kits.
