Following the failure in the election of Citizen Coalition candidate Rafał Trzaskowski over the ruling coalition, the spectrum of government disintegration and earlier elections hung. Jarosław Kaczyński, on the another hand, called for the creation of an apolitical method government, which would consist of specialists, not politicians. Statements by coalition leaders on 15 October following a Thursday gathering with Prime Minister Donald Tuski, however, propose that nothing like this will happen. There is to be a reconstruction of the current government.
On Thursday, June 5, Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with coalition leaders – including Simon Holovnia (PL2050-TD), Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish (PSL-TD) and Vladimir Czarzasty (New Left). After the meeting, a joint press conference was held, during which organization leaders presented the findings developed during the discussion.
The Holovnia announced the government's reconstruction process, pointing to the request to organise programming and organizational issues in the coalition. He besides praised the decision to postpone the vote of assurance for the government – this will only take place a day later than planned, but the talker of the Sejm stated that additional time is needed at this point.
"There has been a very crucial process with this meeting, which will convince voters that it is not adequate that we draw conclusions from what is happening around us, that we inactive have a very concrete plan on how to organize the coalition on 15 October for the next 2 years so that Poles truly have a choice" - stressed the co-leader of the 3rd Way.
The talker was besides the head of the MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who mentioned the erstwhile “deeds” of the ruling Polish coalition – including the introduction of grandmother's pension, widow's pension and taking care of the Polish army.
Vladimir Czarzasty of the Left, like Hołownia, announced a reconstruction of the government, which is expected to last about 1.5-2 months. "We are more prepared, we must share the position. For this we request a month, a period and a half in the close future, and we will present it at a time erstwhile this will not rise our controversy," said Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.
Although the coalitions agree that changes are needed, they inactive disagree on key issues. Magdalena Biejat of the Left accused the Prime Minister of tardiness in and deficiency of determination in the actions of the government. The conflict continues to happen on the 3rd Road-Left line in connection with abortion law. Biejat disagrees with Kosiniak-Kamish, who believes that the government should turn “to the right”. She stated that it was precisely the failure to respond to the expectations of left-wing voters – including access to abortion – that led to demobilisation and consequently the defeat of Rafał Trzaskowski in the presidential election.
