Justice Minister and lawyer General Adam Bodnar estimates that the procedure for recalculation of votes in 296 electoral commissions will begin at the beginning of next week. This will be about a period after the second circular of presidential elections and the first reports of irregularities. That's why Bodnar wants to number the votes now.

– I think that at the beginning of next week this full procedure will start physically," said Minister Adam Bondar about the large action of recalculating votes in 296 committees. He adds that the number could take another 2 weeks. It's the same votes that the committees after the 2nd circular counted in a fewer hours.

"Prejudice of election validity"

Minister Bodnar on Radio Zet spoke about the fact that on June 30, the head of the national prosecutor's office Dariusz Korneluk set up a squad to analyse whether, for example, protocol and another electoral papers were destroyed or falsified during the elections.

This committee will verify the votes in 296 committees. Why the number? Bodnar said that he gave it in an opinion to the Ministry of Justice. In specified a number of committees, regional prosecutors and the territory will re-count the votes. They must besides invitation representatives of election committees to participate in this procedure.

He pointed out that the vote conversion "must be done by individual units of prosecutors at local level and must be coordinated and prepared in specified a way that there is no uncertainty about the full process".

– That is why 11 regional prosecutors participate, all territory prosecutors and, respectively, these peripheral election commissions are not shared, taking into account those committees in which these advanced anomalies may have occurred," he explained.

He added that "you gotta download all the documentation, which is all the protocols on which the subsequent analysis is based".

– I think that if they start at the beginning of next week, it is simply a substance of possibly 2 weeks and they will finish – he concluded.

The Minister added that there is simply a constitutional rule of presumption of the validity of the elections and that presumption was not overturned.

What did the recalculation show?

So far, the votes have been recalculated in at least a twelve committees. The most shocking was the exchange of votes cast on both candidates in the minutes sent by the peripheral commissions to the State Election Commission. That's most of the time.

Of the first "13" electoral commissions, as many as 7 specified situations have been identified: in Krakow, Strzelce Opolskie, Minsk Mazowieckie, Oleśnie, Grudziądz, Gdańsk and in "Wieniec-Brześć Kujawski".

According to the minutes of the commission, which re-counted the votes, Rafał Trzaskowski won 9045 votes and Karol Nawrocki – 8771.
