The recipe for success is simple. If the worker and the arrogant soldier are satisfied, this is the consequence of fantastic cooperation between the school and the brigade commander," stressed Agnieszka Pasko, manager of the Center for Uniform Education – Ełk advanced School. The Centre together with 14 another institutions and companies was awarded the 3rd edition of the competition "WOT-friendly employer".
For the 3rd time, winners of the “WOT-friendly employer” competition, which is organised by territorial defence troops, were selected. Its foundation is, among others, the designation of those employers who, erstwhile employing soldiers of territorial military service, implement solutions facilitating the combining of service and work. In the first edition of the competition in 2019 Olsztyn-Mazury Airport was awarded at central level and 13 employers were awarded at regional stage. In 2021 4 companies were awarded in the central phase and 40 in the provincial stage. This year more than 130 institutions and companies entered the competition. 15 winners were honored at the final gala, held on 4 June at the Club Centre for Communications and Computer discipline in Zegrzu. Distinguished in 5 categories, they received commemorative statues from the WOT commander-in-chief of Brig. Gen. Dr. Krzysztof Stańczyk.
– It is thanks to you, people liable and aware of the function you play, that territorial defence troops can work effectively. You are 1 of the pillars of the national safety system. On behalf of myself and the commanders and commanders of the units who have arrived for today's ceremony, which I have the honour of commanding, I thank you for your understanding, trust and individual approach to all worker – a WOT soldier. Thanks to your openness to cooperation, our soldiers can carry out the most crucial tasks for the Republic of Poland – said Gen. Stańczyk, addressing guests invited to the gala.
The commander of the territorial defence troops besides pointed out that excellent cooperation with various actors straight translates into operational readiness of territorialists. – Your attitude is simply a model of social responsibility, patriotism and knowing for the public service. Without you, it would not be possible to combine work with work to the country. Thank you for being with us. Together we are building the resilience of the state, which at this peculiar time is very crucial for all of you – he addressed the employers of Brig-Gen Krzysztof Stańczyk.
During the gala in Zegrz, 15 winners were awarded, 3 in 5 categories: micro-enterprises, tiny enterprises, medium-sized enterprises, education and education, as well as enterprises in the state sector and state administration.
In the category of micro-enterprises, the competition committee awarded the first place to Kagro sp. z o.o. – a company operating on the agricultural market, the second place was PPF Solutions Polska sp. z o.o., and the 3rd center of Therapy in Częstochowa. In the category of tiny enterprises was won by Legnicka peculiar economical region SA, the second place was awarded to the Association of Children's Aid “Mario” and the 3rd Vacat Barbara Łętocha Printing House. The Medical Center “Medik” won in the category of medium-sized enterprises, and 2 more places were taken by companies: Galmet sp. z o.o. sp. k. and the Kinaka Furniture Group. In turn, in the category of education and education, the first place was awarded to the Władysław Reymont School Complex in Konstancin-Jeziorno, the second – Center for Uniform Education – Major Władysław Raginis advanced School in Elk, and the 3rd – Ignacy Łukasiewicz School Complex in Police. Finally, the Marshal's Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship was the winner in the category of state sector enterprises and state administration offices. The second place was awarded to PGE Distribution SA and the 3rd to the National Real property Resource.
– This award is not just a title, it is simply a symbol of gratitude for these companies, institutions, organizations that realize that the service of the country does not end in barracks. War in Ukraine, natural disasters is emergency show 1 thing: Poland needs efficient, determined and ready to act soldiers. But each of them is besides an employee, specialist, technician, teacher, computer scientist or lifeguard. In order to be able to carry out his tasks in the WOT, he needs support not only from the army, but besides from his employer," said Kajetan Bator, president of the Legnica peculiar economical region SA.
Tomasz Małecki, vice president of PGE Distribution, stated in turn that the management of his company is arrogant to be part of a household of employers supporting WOT. It is simply a large discrimination for us. At our thresholds we employment 28 soldiers and this number is gradually increasing," the vice president admitted.
The heads of educational institutions did not hide that teachers who were at the same time soldiers were instrumental in building patriotic attitudes among students, and stressed the importance of working with the OT brigades. Agnieszka Pasko, manager of the Center for Uniform Education – Ełk advanced School thanked Colonel Jarosław Kowalski, commander of the 4th Warmia-Masurian Territorial Defence Brigade, for his tremendous support for schools. “It is the teachers, our employees, who are an example of patriotism for young people, and we will have it erstwhile we support it,” said manager Pasko. Krzysztof Jabłoński, manager of the Władysław Reymont School Complex in Konstancin-Jeziorno, stressed that hiring soldiers as teachers in schools is of large importance. – They are on the front line, after parents, in transferring values, cognition and the most crucial things in life. Therefore, I consider hiring soldiers as teachers a immense precedence in my work. As a soldier of the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade, I thank the 6 MBOT commander for his support for the school and for working with the “sixteenth Mazovian” as a model," said the director.
A peculiar award, for cooperation with the Territorial Defence Army Representation Centre, was awarded to the Municipal Office in Zwolen. Arkadiusz Sulima, mayor of the city, received the statue.
The final gala of the 3rd edition of the competition “WOT friendly employer” was celebrated by the performance of the WOT Representation Orchestra, which performed a performance entitled “Common to Homeland”. The event was sponsored by the Association of Accountants in Poland, and was covered by the media patronage, among others, by "Army Poland".
