Rafał Trzaskowski, current president of Warsaw and candidate of the Civic Coalition, is again seeking the highest office in the state. With the consequence of 31.36 percent of the votes he won the first circular of presidential elections. In the second he will face Karol Nawrocki, a candidate supported by the Law and Justice.
Trzaskowski declares his willingness to be president of all Poles, regardless of their political views. It stresses the request for dialogue, national unity and joint action for the improvement of the country. Its programme involves strengthening local governments, modernising education and wellness care and investing in infrastructure and fresh technologies.
Since 2002, Trzaskowski has been married to Małgorzata. They have 2 children - a daughter of Alexandra and a boy of Stanislaw.
Political road of Rafał Trzaskowski
Rafał Trzaskowski born 17 January 1972 in Warsaw. So he's 53. He graduated from the Institute of global Relations at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Sciences at the University of Warsaw and the European College in Natolin. From 2004 to 2009, he worked as Advisor to the Civic Platform delegation in the European Parliament.

He won the 7th word of office in the 2009 Euro MP election. In the European Parliament, he worked, among others, in the Committee on the interior marketplace and Consumer Protection. He took office in 2013 Minister of Administration and Digitization in the Government of Donald Tusk, and in 2014 he became Secretary of State at the Ministry of abroad Affairs.
From Parliament to European structures. The road to the political center
He was elected associate of the Sejm of the 8th word in 2015. In 2018, moving for the Civic and Modern Platform, won the election for president of Warsaw already in the first round, winning 56.67% of votes (505 187 1000 votes). He defeated Patrick Jakego, who gained 28.53 percent.
In 2019. Rafał Trzaskowski took part in International gathering of the Bilderberg Group. In the same year, he joined the European Committee of the Regions, an advisory body of the European Union representing local and regional authorities. As part of his activities, he took the lead of the Committee on the Environment, Climate Change and Energy (ENVE) in 2022, whose work focuses on Energy transition and climate protection.

The presidential candidate besides engaged in Climate initiatives at EU level. In 2020, he was appointed 1 of the ambassadors of the European Climate Pact, promoting environmental activities among citizens and local governments. In February 2020, the National Council of the Civic Platform appointed him to Position of Vice-President of the Party. At the same time he co-founded the staff of the presidential run of Margaret Kidawa-Błońska. After her resignation, he fought for the presidential palace on 15 May 2020. He got into the second circular in which he lost to the applicant for re-election Andrzej Duda.
From the primary to the second circular
In November 2024, Rafał Trzaskowski won the primaries of the civilian Coalitionwith 74.75 percent votes. His committee was reported in January 2025 and was officially registered in March. In the first circular he scored 31.36 percent of votes (It was voted by 6,147,797 people). In the second circular of elections against Karol Nawrockiwho received 29.54 percent (5 790 804 votes).
