During yesterday's presidential debate, questions were leaked. Upon the start of the broadcast, Jarosław Olechowski from television, the Republic published 2 questions on social media, which it turned out were asked to candidates live by Dorothy Wysocka-Schnepf.

Jarosław Olechowski, a erstwhile TVP Info reporter and erstwhile manager of the tv Information Agency, published an entry at 8:20 – already during the debate. In the entry he posted a screenshot containing the content of 2 questions, which, he noted, came from the pool of "TVP's illegal presidential debate in liquidation".

The first question, marked "country", afraid demographic issues and abortion law: "Poland depopulates in a dramatic way. In 75 years, we could be under 20 million. At the same time, investigation shows that Polish women quit motherhood due to the fact that they fear anti-abortion laws that endanger their lives. Thus, the demographic disaster is closely linked to this right. What do you want to do to change that?"

The second question, marked as a "game", referred to the trade relations with the US: "Donald Trump imposed 20% duties on all goods from the European Union, including Poland. Following the announcement of the Union's retaliatory action, he suspended it for 3 months until negotiations. But if the duties come into force, they'll hit us hard in the pockets. Prices will besides increase in Poland. How should Europe respond to Trump's trade war?"

A leak on Public Television?

Both questions were asked by the leading Dorothy Wysocka-Schnepf. It is unknown where Jarosław Olechowski had access to it. A writer associated with the Republic did not explain this on his social media. TVP did not mention to the case either.

Let us remind you, on 12 May, there was the last presidential debate attended by all candidates before the first circular of elections. The vote will take place on 18 May and a possible second circular is scheduled for 1 June.

The debate was broadcast by both Public tv and private stations: TVN and Polsat. It started at 8:00 p.m. and lasted over 4 hours, ended just before midnight. In its course there were sharp exchanges of sentences and controversial moments, which you can read more about here.
