Pudu Robotics, a Chinese leader in service robotics, markets advanced humanoid robots to revolutionize interactions between people and machines.
History of Pudu Robotics
Pudu Robotics was founded in 2016 in Shenzhen. The company initially focused on designing robots for catering applications specified as PuduBot – a robot delivering meals straight to tables in restaurants. She shortly gained designation in global markets, so she managed to enter more than 60 countries. The success of their flagship models, specified as BellaBot and KettyBot, contributed to the fast improvement of the company and investment in advanced humanoid robotics. presently Pudu Robotics combines its experience in mobile robotics with fresh technologies to make more advanced devices specified as humanoid robots.
PUDU D9: Full-sized humanoid robot
In December 2024 Pudu Robotics presented PUDU D9, its first full-sized two-legged robot. This robot measures 170 cm tall, weighs 65 kg and has 42 degrees of freedom of movement in “sets”, with a maximum torque of 352 Nm. Hand-held PUDU DH11, D9 can decision on 2 legs and execute precise manual tasks. Its advanced mobile capabilities include walking at a velocity of up to 2 m/s, crossing stairs and slopes, and avoiding obstacles. Thanks to the 3D semantic navigation system, D9 creates real-time ambient maps, allowing precise way planning and positioning.
PUDU D7: A semi-humanoid next generation robot
In September 2024 the company introduced PUDU D7, its first semi-humanoid robot. This 165-centimeter robot weighing 45 kg, in the advanced part is simply a device resembling a human body, and moves not on its feet, but on a chassis that is used, for example, in warehouse robots. PUDU D7 can execute tasks specified as elevator handling, item transport or sorting. D7 can work continuously for more than 8 hours, decision at a velocity of up to 2 m/s and keep stableness on slopes of up to 10 degrees. Its bionic arms can lift objects up to 10 kg, with a precision of 0.1 mm.
A strategical imagination of Pudu Robotics
Pudu Robotics strives to make robots tailored to different marketplace needs, developing 3 categories:
- specialised works,
- semi-humanoid and
- fully humanoid.
Thanks to this, the company wants to increase operational efficiency and improve client experience in various industries. The introduction of robots specified as PUDU D9 and D7 underlines the company's commitment to technological innovation and its leadership in the service robotics sector.
Applications and Future of Pudu Robots
Pudu Robotics works are utilized in many sectors, from catering to warehouses and retail. PUDU D9, thanks to its advanced mobility and ability to interact at human level, can execute tasks specified as cleaning, moving goods or client service. PUDU D7, thanks to its versatility, can be utilized in sorting operations, wind handling or service in restaurants. The company plans to further make robotic technologies to meet the increasing demands of the marketplace and introduce innovative solutions in the field of service automation.
