Attempt to assassinate Zelenski in Poland. The head of the Home Office confirms!

The Head of the safety Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasil Maluk reported that 2 attacks against president Volodymyr Zelenski had been thwarted. 1 of them was to be reached at the airport in Rzeszow Jasionka. Maluk thanked the interior safety Agency for its cooperation in safety for Zelenski.

The head of SBU revealed that there was an unsuccessful assassination of Volodymyr Zelenski at the airport in Rzeszów. He betrayed that the goal was to "physically destruct the president of Ukraine", and the attempted bomber was a Polish soldier – recruited by Russia "ten years ago". The Zelensk killing was prevented thanks to cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian services, for which Vasil Maluk thanked the Polish ABW.

The more detailed circumstances of the assassination effort on the president of Ukraine in Rzeszów are unknown. According to Maluk, the fishy was to usage an FPV drone or sniper rifle.

On Monday, Minister of the Interior Tomasz Siemoniak confirmed that the attack on Zelenski in Poland had failed.

"The case of thwarting the preparations for the assassination of the president of Ukraine took place in April 2024 and ended with the arrest and detention of a Polish citizen who had specified plans and tried to establish cooperation with Russian services. On 19 May 2025 he was sent to court an indictment of his case," explained Siemoniak.

The second failed assassination was to take place in the Chancellery of the president of Ukraine in Kiev. Ukrainian services detected a conspiracy involving 2 high-ranking officers who were liable for Zelenski's security. The conspirators started working with the Russian FSB, but their intentions were exposed in time and they were arrested themselves.
