The first circular of the 2025 presidential election is behind us. Since 7:00 p.m. in Poland, we have selected our candidates. More than 28.9 million people were eligible to vote. Who received the most votes? Check the exit poll results.
On Sunday 18 May in Poland was held First circular of presidential elections. There were 28,943,594 people entitled to vote. 32 143 voting circuits were created. The premises were open between 7:00 and 21:00.
On the ballot was 13 candidates: Artur Bartoszewicz (economicist), Magdalena Biejat (candidate of the fresh Left), Grzegorz Braun (Europosel), Szymon Holovnia (marszał of the Sejm, candidate of the 3rd Way), Marek Jakubiak (speaker of the Free Republicans), Maciej Maciak (leader of the Prosperity and Peace Movement), Sławomir Mentzen (candidate of the Confederation), Karol Nawrocki (president of the IPN, candidate supported by the PiS), Joanna Senyszyn (former MP of the SLD, economist), Krzysztof Stanowski (journalist), Rafał Trzaskowski (president of Warsaw and candidate of the KO), Marek Woch (candidate of the Unpartisan Local Government), Adrian Zandberg (Member, candidate of the organization Together).
Electoral silence It began at midnight, at night from Friday to Saturday and will last until Sunday until 21:00. The Police office has reported that there have been 255 cases of violations since the beginning of the election silence. It is primarily a disorder of public policy, a false alarm, a harm to an unlawful announcement, an election banner, and respective cases of the performance of the duties of a associate of the committee in the state after the usage of alcohol.
During the election There were besides tragic events - 2 people died in the polling stations. Before 9:00 a.m., an aged female came to vote at 1 of the polling stations in Szczecin. An ambulance was called and a resuscitation effort was made. Unfortunately, the female died. An 84-year-old man fainted at 1 of the polling stations in Bielsko-Biała. Despite his life's CPR, he couldn't be saved.
Exit poll results
We already know which candidates received the most votes. After the vote, 3 TVs - TVP, Polsat and TVN - presented exit poll results. The survey was conducted by the Ipsos resort. Here are the results:
Rafał Trzaskowski - 30.8%.
Karol Nawrocki - 29.1%.
Sławomir Mentzen - 15.4%.
Grzegorz Braun - 6.2 percent.
Adrian Zandberg - 5.2 percent.
Simon Holovnia - 4.8 percent.
Magdalena Biejat - 4.1 percent.
Joanna Senyszyn - 1.3 percent.
Krzysztof Stanowski - 1.3 percent.
Marek Jakubiak - 0.8 percent.
Artur Bartoszewicz - 0.5 percent.
Maciej Maciak - 0.4 percent.
Marek Woch - 0.1 percent
Turnout was 66.8 percent.
The second circular will take place on 1 June. Rafał Trzaskowski (KO candidate) and Karol Nawrocki (PiS-backed candidate) will fight for the presidency.
