He was a mention point and will always stay it – in military matters, military matters, but besides energy, wit, sympathy which he aroused – said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the ceremony mass of General Waldemar Skrzypczak. The urn with the officer's ashes was buried present at the Military Cemetery in Powązki. The general died on Monday 21 July at the age of 69.

On Friday in Warsaw there were ceremony ceremonies of General Waldemar Skrzypczak, commander of the Land Army from 2006 to 2009, in 2005 of the commander of the Polish Military Continent in Iraq, and in 2012-2013 of the Deputy Minister of National Defence. The General died on July 21 after a long illness. In the last way, officers accompanied, among others, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Deputy Minister Stanisław Wzątek, superiors and subordinates with whom he served and worked during his career in the Polish Army and Ministry of National Defence.

The ceremony mass was celebrated in the Polish Army Department. Fr. Bishop Wiesław Lechowicz presided over devotions. Field Bishop of the Polish Army emphasized that the general faithfully fulfilled the soldier's oath, he was always close to soldiers, he frequently appealed to patriotism.

During the service, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz besides spoke. The head of the MON called the general the hero of our time. "Because he led his command, a military career to take care of those he was recommended," said the Deputy Prime Minister. The head of the MON stressed that the general was with his soldiers “even erstwhile others turned around.” He thus referred to the situation erstwhile General Skrzypczak stood up for soldiers accused of war crimes in Nangar Khel, Afghanistan.

Kosiniak-Kamysz recalled that General Skrzypczak was the first commander of the multi-national division in Iraq, during which no Polish soldier died. “Army, equipment, modernization was his eye in the head,” said the head of the MON.
