[Sweden made an agreement at the beginning of this year with KNDS](https://defence24.pl/industrial/Sweden-buys-batalion-leopardow-2a8) for the transportation of 44 Stridsvagn 123B tanks (i.e. Leopards 2A8), expanding its mark fleet of this kind of vehicles to 154 units. At the same time, it was announced that 66 of the 110 presently owned Strv 122A/B would be upgraded to a standard akin to the purchased cars, which would receive the designation Stridsvagn 123A/Strv 123A.
