The study, which took place at the turn of November and December of the erstwhile year, clearly shows that the issue of preserving national borders before the conflict is crucial for Ukrainian citizens. 57% of respondents explicitly stressed that "any peace agreement that does not reconstruct full territorial integrity of Ukraine is doomed to failure".

Those skeptical about the imagination of peace without the territorial integrity of the country besides expressed the pessimistic sentiments associated with Donald Trump's return to power. However, despite any pessimism among parts of society, more than half of the respondents are optimistic about Trump's presidency.
Previous results of KIIS, published in January, indicated that 38% of Ukrainians could agree to territorial concessions in exchange for peace. However, fresh data clearly show that the majority of the population remains firm on the sovereignty and integrity of their state.
