The ceremony of handing over the first serially upgraded Ariete tank was held on 18 July in the Roman Cecchignola barracks. The event was attended by, among others, the head of the Italian Army Staff, General Carmine Masiello, and the president of the CIO consortium, liable for modernization, Claudio Catalano. Transfer of a vehicle means a further step in strengthening the possible of the Italian armored troops, which have not received crucial investment in this area in fresh decades.
