The soldiers of Pomerania are on top! In XI Quartermarathon of Commandos, the 3rd of the 5 events counted as the Grand Slam of Commandos, triumphed at the Sgt. At the finish run at a distance of 10 km 550 m there was a evidence number of participants – 686.
The winners of the XI Quartermarathon of Commandos first stood at the highest level of the podium of the race, the first 5 editions of which were organized in the village of Czarne, Pomeranian Voivodeship, and six more in Słupsk. St. kpr. Michał Pytlak is the 5th triumphant among men, and matt Joanna Terefenko is the ninth winner in women's competition. A typical of the 7th Coastal Defence Brigade was respective times close to the podium "quarter" – in the worst of their performances he placed ninth. This year he yet stood on a “poodle” and immediately at the highest level. A contestant from the Naval Training Center in Ustka besides won a seat in the leading 3 4th marathon.
At the finish of the 11th edition of the run, on an highly hard route, full of hills, sharp runs and very steep fugitives, 94 women checked in – there were 95 of them a year ago. However, men contributed to the evidence of attendance. They were finished by 592 and were beaten by last year's best score, erstwhile 669 participants finished the run. Another evidence of competition organizers – the Foundation for the Support of Non-Conventional Initiatives "Sub Ventum" – noted in the category classified at the squad finish. 68 three-man teams competed for seats on the podium, including 25 in the mixer category.
Three runners, Michał Pytlak, Rafał Golec, and Bartosz Przekopowicz, broadcast in the men's competition from the start. Unfortunately, from the very beginning he had to make up for losses to rivals 1 of the favorites Mr Maciej Dutkiewicz. Zandarm of the Mazovia Military Gendarmerie Branch did not take off from the leading ranks and thus lost contact with the head. On the way he managed to outrun everyone but the one-run from 1.5 km of the Michał Pytlak route. – I knew I was strong on the hills, so I built an advantage over rivals on the runs. I ran my own, I did not look at rivals – admits the triumphant run. At the finish, the typical of the 7th Coast defence Brigade gained 51 min 14 s. - I'm spontaneous. I didn't think I was going to win – adds Fr Michał Pytlak. Second place was won by Fr Maciej Dutkiewicz, who enjoyed taking the first place on the podium of the "komandoska quarter". On the another hand, in the 3rd position, he finished moving the st. Rafał Golec from the 18th Vilnius Explanatory Battalion.
Among women, a certain triumph was won by matt Joanna Terefenko, who in the open competition ranked 32nd. Behind her back a fierce fight for a place on the podium was fought by St. Col. Anna Ogorałek from the 2nd Polish Corps – Command of the Land Component Krakow and plut. Katarzyna Cyprzych from the Battalion of Protection of the Redzikowo Base. By 7 s faster turned out to be a player from Krakow.
The XI Quartermarathon of Commandos under the honorary patronage of the Minister of National Defence was the 3rd of the races counted among the Grand Slam of Commandos. In February in Warsaw, XVI took place Commandosa Half Marathonand in March in Ljubljana IX 100 Commandos. The next events will besides be held in Ljubljana – October 4, XXIX Race for Commandos Knife and November 29, XXII Marathon Commandos.
