At the end of July this year, a long-range MBDA Aster Block 1 NT (New Technology) shooting took place on the French Biscarrosse in the fresh Aquitaine region. The effort was supervised by DGA Essais de missions, the department of the French Directorate General for Armed Forces (Direction Générale de l’Armement, DGA). The fresh missiles are intended for thoroughly upgraded anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence kits [SAMP/T NG](https://defence24.pl/defence-policy/new-generation-sampt-ru-production-European-patriot-analysis system) for the French and Italian armed forces, as well as many ships built in Europe equipped with vertical projectiles from the household [Sylver](https://defence24.pl/industrial/euronaval-universal-new-generation-from-mbd) and PAAMS anti-aircraft system.
