"I have decided to extend the BRAVO and BRAVO-CRP alert stages in connection with hybrid threats and in cyberspace from Russia and Belarus" - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"I made a decision to extend the word BRAVO and BRAVO-CRP alarm stages in connection with hybrid threats and in cyberspace from Russia and Belarus. We will prevent fresh attempts of alien interference in our electoral process" - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
In consequence to terrorist threats, Poland introduced a four-stage alarm strategy in 2016: ALFA, BRAVO, CHARLIE, DELTA.
Currently, there is simply a degree of BRAV which involves additional safety measures, specified as increased presence of patrols and inspections in public places.
Until the end of May 2025, there is besides a BRAVO-CRP degree in Poland, which covers the full country and Polish infrastructure, including energy links, besides outside the country.
What does BRAVO mean?
The BRAVO alarm phase (second on a four-stage scale) is introduced in the event of an increased and foreseeable threat of terrorist events - explains the Government safety Centre.
"This means that the services have information about a possible threat and so the public administration is obliged to keep peculiar vigilance" - said RCB.
During this period of service, they are obliged to carry long arms and bulletproof vests. They may carry out vehicle checks and close non-used buildings and premises.
BRAVO-CRP Emergency Stage
In the case of the BRAVO-CRP alert stage, concerning increased monitoring of safety of ICT systems, the state administration increases the availability of strategy safety personnel and introduces the work of 24/7 on-calling of key strategy administrators.
" Alarm stages are primarily a signal for the services to be ready to act" - RCB explains.
At the beginning of Russia's aggression against Ukraine in 2022, the ALPHA degree was in force in Poland, then converted to BRAVO.
