Legion residents can enjoy a thoroughly modernized specialist clinic building at the branch of the Military Medical Institute Hospital. The investment worth PLN 30 million was financed to a large degree from the budget of the Ministry of Defence. A modern outpatient facility was created with well-equipped offices and diagnostic facilities.

After a fewer years of waiting in Legionowo, a renovated specialist clinic building was opened at the infirmary branch Military Medical Institute. "This investment is much more than just fresh walls and equipment, it is primarily a symbol of the changes that have taken place in the organisation of wellness care in the city and the territory of Legionowo in the last 3 years," he said on Thursday 11 September during the beginning ceremony. As the manager stressed, the beginning of the renovated clinic shows that with the engagement of public institutions, the medical community and experts a real change is possible, both in the local and nationwide perspective.
Local authorities are besides satisfied with the fresh facility. "It is an investment of large importance to our residents, modern cabinets, high-class medical equipment and full availability for people with disabilities, which will supply even better wellness care in 1 place," said Bogdan Kiełbasiński, president of Legionowa, on Facebook.
The building located at the infirmary was taken over by WIM and thoroughly upgraded. The work included comprehensive interior reconstruction, installation of modern medical equipment and adaptation of the space to the needs of people with disabilities.
The modernization lasted from 2023 and absorbed nearly PLN 30 million, out of which PLN 27 million came from the budget of the Ministry of Defence, and the remaining amount was calculated by WIM from its own resources. The money allowed to finance the renovation of the building for about PLN 24 million and the acquisition of modern medical equipment and equipment for over PLN 6 million.

The modernized building has been moved to all specialist clinics operating at various locations within the infirmary clinic, including gynaecological counselling, trauma-ortopedic surgery, urological, ophthalmic, dental, as well as surgery and infirmary.
– We have a modern outpatient facility with well-equipped clinics, diagnostic facilities and a comfortable space for patients – emphasises Marta Harazińska, spokesperson for the WIM infirmary in Legionowo. This will enable patients to benefit from comprehensive medical care in 1 place, which will greatly facilitate the organisation of visits and reduce the waiting time for consultations.

Modern equipment and functional architectural solutions will besides improve the quality of medical services provided and guarantee comfort for both patients and medical personnel. “The fresh facility besides includes access to modern outpatient care provided close to the place of residence, in conditions that meet the highest standards, it is besides intended to supplement the offer of infirmary branches and supply a smooth and coherent diagnostic and therapeutic path,” noted the spokeswoman of the infirmary in Legionowo.
During the opening, guests had the chance to familiarize themselves with the facility and its equipment. The ceremony was besides accompanied by a discussion panel on effective coordination of healthcare in Poland and the most urgent systemic challenges and essential reforms in this area. The discussion was attended by medical experts and persons active in the management of medical facilities, including Marek Augustyn, vice president of the National wellness Fund, Gen. Gielerak, manager of WIM, or Bartłomiej Trzmiel, deputy manager of the Department of Analysis and strategy of the Ministry of Health.
