On Friday at 19 o'clock, a debate on the marketplace in Koński began, broadcast by tv Republika, in Poland24 and tv Trwam. It featured Karol Nawrocki, Szymon Hołownia, Krzysztof Stanowski, Marek Jakubiak and Joanna Senyszyn.
Two hours later, another debate started in the sports hall – this time broadcast by major tv stations – TVP, Polsat and TVN. Rafał Trzaskowski, Magdalena Biejat and Maciej Maciak joined this group. All candidates did not hide their emotions after the end of the political marathon, which ended just before midnight.
Voice of leading candidates for president of the Republic of Poland
Rafał Trzaskowski, a candidate of the Civic Coalition, assessed the debate organised by his staff as calm and substantive. – It was an equal debate, nobody had better conditions. Not what he emphasized in 2020.
However, he accused that his competitors "wake up suddenly", even though the joint gathering had been planned for months. “Nawrocki is afraid to become one-on-one, so he decided to do absolutely everything to make this debate fail, or to have another candidates on it”, summed up the actions of the main opponent Trzaskowski.
On the another hand, Karol Nawrocki, a candidate "supported" by PiS, spared no harsh words towards Trzaskowski. "The armed forces' superior cannot be a coward, and the coward has not come to the marketplace in Koński for the second time," he said, after Trzaskowski did not participate in the debate organised by the right-wing media. As he added, despite the "warm conditions" of opponents, current candidates "made it through". – fact and courage won – he finished.
Left, democracy, and "a beautiful lady"
Magdalena Biejat of the Left focused on the fact that yet an alternate to the dominant duopol might have sounded.
– The voice of the left-wing candidate, who is truly struggling for circumstantial issues, who do not get active in these constant arguments," she said. The Biejat presented its change plan, focusing on the interests of average citizens. "To build a state that cares about average citizens, not just the richest ones," she added. The candidate besides summed up that she is aware that "we broke Rafal Trzaskowski's plan".
When asked if specified behaviour would affect the conflict in the Coalition on 15 October, she replied briefly: "The coalition is not so fragile as to break apart just due to the fact that I crashed into the Trzaskowski debate.
Krzysztof Stanowski found the debate... boring. Why did I participate? To make it a small more interesting, but unfortunately I failed to do it – he admitted. He abandoned the Polish tv favouring 1 of the committees and stated that the absence of all candidates "is an absolute violation of the principles of democracy, this should not happen". Youtuber praised Joanna Senyszyn, saying: – A very beautiful woman who stole the hearts of many people.
Simon Holovnia, in turn, talked about breaking the monopoly of the main groups. – Duopol had to let the vote – he said. He added that it was good that any of the candidates could be persuaded to take part in both alternatively of 1 debate. It was the talker of the Sejm after the final debate on the marketplace in Koński that shouted to the microphone "We are all going to the second debate?", making it impossible for the undecided to retreat from it quietly.
