Jarosław Kaczyński was asked on Tuesday by journalists about details of the gathering with Karol Nawrocki. The leader of the PiS spoke of a good atmosphere. “We switched to “you” despite the age difference,” he said.
When asked about the possible cooperation of the fresh president with PiS, Kaczyński was more restrained. It's besides soon. The PiS is presently in opposition, and the president is by nature neither government nor opposition," he added.

Karol Nawrocki, erstwhile president of the Institute of National Memory and candidate supported by the Law and Justice, won the second circular of presidential elections. He obtained 50.89 percent of the votes, defeating the candidate KO, Rafał Trzaskowski, who won 49.11 percent of the vote.
On Tuesday night Nawrocki met with outgoing president Andrzej Duda. The office will be officially in August.
