Nawrocki abruptly started praising Bąkiewicz. "We have large Polish patriots"

A candidate with the support of the Law and Justice Karol Nawrocki began to praise Robert Bąkiewicz, who is celebrated for his far right views. – Fortunately we have large Polish patriots and Robert Bąkiewicz, who is guarding the Polish border – he said.

Nawrocki started praising Bąkiewicz

Robert Bąkiewicz is an highly controversial figure, especially in the context of his political activity. As a erstwhile leader of the independency March Association and organizations related to national movement, Bąkiewicz was frequently criticized for his views and actions, which are considered highly right-wing.

Many of his opponents accuse him of promoting nationalist attitudes that can lead to the marginalization of national, cultural or spiritual minorities in Poland.

Recently, he went along with PiS MP Janusz Kowalski to perform, as they themselves called, checks at the center for immigrants in Red Bora. However, they were not allowed inside.

Meanwhile, as TVN24 describes, on Sunday evening a group of respective twelve people gathered close the centre for foreigners in Red Bora (Podlaskie province). There were police officers on the scene who, they say, did not gotta intervene, and the situation did not turn into any incident.

"Subclass police officers secured yesterday's assembly in Red Bora. During security, officers did not intervene against those involved. We have not received information that people in the hotel are attacking local residents," wrote the local police.



As besides mentioned in Radio Białystok's account, the gathered said, among others, that they wanted to express aversion to "what is happening." "All Poland sings with us, you... with refugees".
