In fresh days, the British Ministry of defence has reported 2 separate incidents in which British Typhoon fighters intercepted Russian aircraft over the Baltic Sea, close NATO's airspace.
The first event occurred on Tuesday erstwhile Typhoon fighters were called in to intercept the Russian intelligence aircraft Il-20M.
2 days later, on Thursday, 2 British fighters intercepted an unknown device leaving Kaliningrad airspace.

According to Undersecretary of State for Armed Forces, Luke Pollard, quoted by the agency Reuters, the United Kingdom is trying to calm its allies, scare distant opponents and take care of its own national safety in the face of increasing aggression from Russia.
Pollard stated that "this mission shows our ability to act side by side with a fresh NATO member, Sweden, and to defend the alliance's airspace anywhere and at a time, thereby ensuring safety in the country and abroad."

So far, the Russian side has not commented on these 2 events.
