The Niewiadów-PGM Group and the Singapore ST Engineering company join forces in manufacturing 40 mm ammunition in Poland. Thanks to cooperation in Niewiadów, a mill of ammunition utilized primarily in grenade launchers and automatic grenade launchers will be able to be created, in view of the needs of Polish armed forces and recipients from 20 countries of the European Union.

Unwitting Group-PGM concluded an agreement with ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering (AME) from Singapore on the transfer of competence for the production of 40 mm intermediate caliber ammunition. Thanks to this, the subsidiary of the Group (ZSP Niewiadów) gained exclusive rights to usage the method data package and know-how essential to launch home production of these ammunition for military purposes.
Last period the Polish entity informed about the signing of an agreement on the creation of a 40 mm ammunition mill in Niewiadów. Production will be based on technology provided by ST Engineering. “The licence agreement with AME is another crucial phase in the implementation of our plan to build a strong integrated defence manufacture group in Poland”, says Grzegorz Niedzielski, president of the Management Board of the Niewiadów-PGM Group. He adds that the acquired know-how in the field of ammunition 40 mm importantly strengthens the Group's technological capabilities and supports further expansion of production capacity in Niewiadów.
According to Sunday, this task will besides contribute to strengthening the national capabilities of ammunition production and to expanding the safety of Poland. The construction of the Polish ammunition mill 40 mm is part of the dynamic increase in defence expenditure, the ongoing method modernization and the European Union's action to reduce dependence on suppliers outside Europe.
