Helping makes sense! As part of the Pixsel action for Ukraine, we managed to rise money for over 550 birth kits "Mama Kit", which will go to the most needy maternity hospitals in Pavlohrad, Mikołajów, Zaporoż and Dnieper. The information from the Polish Humanitarian squad shows that at this point these are places with the top demand.
What is Pixel for Ukraine?
This is simply a peculiar gathering action aimed at "coloring" all pixels on the banner. Each 20 pixels is 1 purchased "mama-kit", a first aid kit with basic means to aid pregnant Ukrainians at birth. A first aid kit that can frequently save the wellness or life of a parent and child.
The banner, which you can see in many places of the service onTemat.pl, is 200 pixels wide and 500 heights. This gives a full of 100,000 pixels, waiting to be colored. The banner – after each deposit – is painted with a pixel from left to right, you can see the advancement of the coloring on a regular basis, and it is only up to you how many pixels you paint once.
This is an innovative and virtual form of aid in the most measurable way possible with a real problem. An analysis of Yorghas Foundation data shows that as many as 80,000 children will be born in Ukraine within 3 months. Many of them in conditions where no 1 wants to live, let alone have a baby. These are infirmary basements made temporary into bomb shelters.
The Yorghas Foundation has been helping women and children in developing countries for respective years. They save pregnant women and newborns from the death of poverty, hygiene, access to wellness and education.
"The Pachamama task is an organization that produces and delivers multi-use pads to the most needy women around the world. Together with the founder of this organization, we decided to join forces. The Pachamama task collects in the UK funds for the pads packages we will deliver along with Mama Kit's transportation kits to Ukraine. all parent will receive a set of manned pads in the hospital, which are not available in many east regions of Ukraine," says Daria Wraży-Lechowska, Vice president of the Yorghas Foundation.
The cost of 1 "mama bullshit" is 20 zlotys. Below you can see what 1 birth kit looks like. The kits that will be purchased as part of the action will be prepared specifically for Ukraine with labels in Ukrainian.
Each set contains basic medical articles guaranteeing hygiene during childbirth and reduces the hazard of infection, which are a common origin of maternal and newborn death. It includes sterile gloves, soap, gases, disposable umbilical clamps, medical sheet and surgical blade. The assistance will be delivered to Ukraine through a partnership of the Yorghas Foundation with aid organizations from Poland or Polish Humanitarian Team.
