MON: Poland will not send troops to Ukraine

"There is no and there will be no plans to send Polish troops to Ukraine. Poland is liable for defending the east flank of NATO and for logistical support for the attacked neighbour," said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in consequence to suggestions about the participation of Polish soldiers in peacekeeping operations in Ukraine.


Keith Kellogg, an envoy of the president of the United States, gave an interview present on American tv Fox Business. The main subject was the preparations and expectations for the Thursday gathering of US, Russia and Ukraine presidents to be held in Turkey. In an interview with writer Kellogg station, he suggested that Poland would agree to participate in the U.S. government's proposed peacekeeping mission in Ukraine. “We are talking about “resistance forces”, which include the British, the French, as well as Germany, and now Poles, who will deploy their forces west of the Dniepr River”, said American politician.

The Polish Ministry of Defence immediately reacted to these words. "There is no and there will be no plans to send Polish troops to Ukraine. Poland is co-responsible for defending the east flank of NATO and for logistical support for the attacked neighbour," wrote Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on platform X.
