Military regulations, or the fact of time

Shoes, beards, tattoos... these 3 dots I leave at the end, due to the fact that I believe this is just an introduction to what may be waiting for us to change the general rules of the Polish Army soldier. To the uninitiated (unless only from outside the army) I will remind that last summertime the Ministry of National Defence decided: Polish soldier can yet wear facial hair and no longer gotta hide tattoos! Contrary to appearances, these insignificant changes in regulations have a very large impact on the general state of temper among the military.

Over the years we have become accustomed to the fact that politicians regularly announce to us information about "big and expensive" tenders for military equipment. But together with the hardware and technology change, there should be a change in the perception of the situation and the function of the soldier. For for each of us, military regulations are important, due to the fact that they affect the regular service, the desire for it, or discouragement. Modern equipment requires self-thinking and frequently immediate decision making. This besides requires combat action, then strategical decisions are made by the commanders, but about how soldiers should fight on the first line regardless of the degree, especially since it is the young private age that may prove to be an expert who uses equipment for tens or hundreds of thousands of PLN. He's worth listening to too!

However, he frequently complains about young people and even expects them to be like us at their age, due to the fact that in our time this... But all youth, all generation has its time, has the right to follow their views and to have their tastes (if you wear a fashionable mustache or beard). Acceptance of change allows development, although it means that decision-makers must accept that regulations that were good 10 or 20 years ago may not work today.

RECLAMA

Is that what I always thought? No, I'm changing too. 1 day, I learned a lesson about it. Well, years ago I had the chance to meet Mr Juliusz Kulski, boy of the Vice president of pre-war Warsaw Julian Kulski, who during the business with approval of the AK was the commissar mayor of the city of Warsaw. During the gathering (Mr Julius lived in Nowy Miasto in Warsaw), our conversation was interrupted respective times by laughter coming from the window, but besides by the curses of respective teenagers who spent their free time in the yard. They were fooling around, not changing their words... So stereotypically, I quit "Ah these youths..." but I did not finish my sentence. "Mr. Paul, there is nothing incorrect with youth, they have the right to be loud," the old master interrupted me. "In 1939, at the end of the year, my classmate broke a window close Powiśle. individual reported this to the school principal, and at the school year-end appeal, Mr. manager has been telling us what a bad youth we are. Your grandfathers – he said – fought in the January uprising, fathers in the large War, you live in free Poland and you are the worst youth in generations...’. Meanwhile, this youth waited 5 years of German occupation. They were about to act in a conspiracy, fight in the Warsaw Uprising – just like Mr.Kulski – and after the war any of them were imprisoned by Russians in KGB execution rooms. “ But then, in this school square, we wanted to run over the Vistula. We were looking forward to a vacation...” my interviewer said.

We do not know what kind of planet awaits another generation or what time awaits those who want to service in the military today. 1 thing is certain: young people in the military besides have the right to their opinion, even if they find it hard to accept that they gotta walk in uncomfortable shoes erstwhile they are more comfortable in the civilian market; that they wear the uniform of the Polish Army They couldn't have had a beard.. Firefighters and cops have it. What about the girls who are getting more and more in the army all year? present the regulation is simply a tight coke, which many hinder from wearing a helmet. Does a pony or a braid bother you? The answer seems obvious, but the rules on these hairstyles are silent, so soldier: see the first point...

Today, like Mr. Kulski then, I believe that there is always a good time for change. Even in seemingly insignificant matters specified as adjusting the rules so as not to simply interfere with our ministry, and the regulations are as tactically required. Then the soldier will fight effectively, and changing the rules and switching it from “P” to “W” will not be needed. due to the fact that who truly cares what kind of shoes the Ukrainian artilleryman is fighting in is knee-deep in mud, it is more crucial that he wants to fight, and he was dry and comfortable. As a national defence minister's lawyer for military service terms, I am here to aid make fresh and change old regulations, good not only for peace, but above all for war. And that's an chance due to the fact that we have peace and politicians who realize the request for change. They not only sign contracts for millions, but besides change their statutory paragraphs.
