Traditionally on the first weekend of August (2 – 3.08.2025) at Hitler's secret office airport, between Kętrzyn and Giżycko in the large Masurian Lakes Land, it became bustling and colorful. Thousands of spectators were applauded here by the sky evolutions of excellent pilots from Poland and guests – among others from Germany and Lithuania. There were corkscrews, vertical climb rotations, barrel slides, loops, aircraft racing in the sky, airplanes set in the key, and above all a friendly atmosphere and gathering of people whose love of aviation combined.

– The Mazury Air Show has been organized continuously since 1999. This makes our event air shows organized continuously the longest in the past of the full Polish aviation. It's just worth being here! – encouraged organizers to come in electronic media.

Look on the plane.

Preparations for the twenty-fourth edition of this popular event have continued since autumn.

– We came back here a year ago. For 11 years we flew to Lake Niegocin. It was fabulous there, but now we're sticking to our historical airport, which we managed to bring an army to this year. For the first time, there is simply a good military exposition, and this static component is crucial to me. What happens in the air is fleeting and rapidly passes away, and on the ground you can look at the plane and fall in love with aviation Stanislaw Tołwiński from the Lake Land Aeroclub, the originator and organizer of the Mazury Air Show, argued. – The stars of the show include the chopper W-3 Falcon and M-28 Bryza. You can sit behind the controls, and talking to military pilots is simply a real treat. They defender our heaven Indeed. Large helicopters from the 7th Air Squadron in Nowy Glink close Tomaszów Mazowiecki (which is part of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade), with a fresh plan painted with a white-red chess board, made a large deal. Not only children were set up for the picture, but besides crowds of adults. We met here, among others, the MP Marcina Kulaska (New Left) and the Warmia-Masurian vice-voivode Zbigniew Szczypiński. It was besides crowded at the exhibition of equipment presented by soldiers from the 1st Mazurian Artillery Brigade in Węgorzew. With their ass you could climb onto a method designation vehicle, armored transporter Rosomak, and besides watch a close-up anti-aircraft set ZUR-23-2KG Jodek-G caliber 23 mm with GROM missiles. Unmanned search and impact strategy (BSP-U) besides awakened the respect Gladius (designated for precise firing of crucial targets at more than 100 km from the starting point), like the WR-40 Langust rocket launcher (standard 122 mm missiles hit a mark even 20 km away).

It was a moment.

The Mazury Air Show was boring not for a moment. The next hours at the airport passed quickly, and the weather added. After a fewer minutes of rain on Saturday, the sun was already shining. It was warm, and good visibility was conducive to admiring more events in the sky. And there was a lot going on.

The show's programme was arranged so that all day the organizers left the main attraction at the end. And the cherry on the cake was the FA-50G flight. This is simply a fresh acquisition of the Polish army, about which the audience was passionately told by announcers of shows, enthusiasts and aviation experts Jakub Kulecki and Michał Andrachiewicz. Spectators then learned that this South Korean light, double jet combat aircraft could scope a maximum velocity of 1.5 wave (1838,5 km/h). – To fly Poland from east to west and north to south is for this plane respective minutes of work – the photographer Janusz Rendzio has enjoyed the spotter for years.

– The FA-50G was equipped with the Israeli Elta EL/M-2032 radar. Its operating scope is 1,800 km, can decision up to a maximum of 15,000 metres above the ground. The plane's own mass is 6.47 tons with a maximum take-off mass of 12.3 tons. This allows to carry weapons of up to 4.5 tonnes weight – specified information was absorbed by the audience gathered at the airport.

Eventually, 2 FA-50Gs presented themselves during the Mazury Air Show twice. At 4.40 p.m., they finished the Saturday show program, and on Sunday they checked in just before 14 p.m. They came all of a abrupt from the south, making incredible noise. It was virtually a moment, and after a while they were turning around. They only managed to tilt their wings to farewell, and already returned to their base in Minsk Mazowiecki, where they are stationed regular and trained mainly by young pilots. In the sky, they operated much higher than another aircraft participating in the event, but their dynamic flight, although short, will surely be long remembered.

The event took place under Honorary patronage of the Ministry of DefenceAnd 1 of his partners was Polish Armed Forces Group. Present for 2 days at Kętrzyn-Wilamowo Airport, Deputy Head of MON Stanisław Wąątek (New Left) argued that The Mazury Air Show is part of the doctrine of building greater public awareness of defence and better knowing of military needs.

– We want to show, besides the youngest, what the Polish army has. Polish defence manufacture is developing. The modernization of the armed forces is carried out through external purchases, but there must besides be a transfer of technology and the transfer of at least part of military production to Poland. And all actions concerning security, defence of borders and the creation of patriotic attitudes should not know any political divisions – argued Stanisław Wątek.

Deputy Minister was besides asked about FA-50G. – These planes don't land here, only their short flight has been established. The FA-50G is simply a small smaller and lighter than our F-16. Unfortunately, the first aircraft was purchased by the erstwhile power without weapons. We'll buy this weapon and the FA-50G will be able to carry out additional average combat tasks. – informs Stanisław Wzątek.

The attraction was not missing

During 2 days of shows, the audience besides saw longtime friends of Mazury Air Show – Lithuanian Presidential Aerobatic squad ANBO in action. It is simply a three-man formation on legendary Jakach-50 – planes that combine aviation classics with a powerful dose of acrobatic madness. It's specified a perfectly coordinated acrobatics squad that “They could fly tied with string and not break off.” One of the pilots of ANBO is Rolandas Paksas – the erstwhile president and Prime Minister of Lithuania, as well as the master of sky-high evolution, who was celebrated for flying in a reversed position under Vilnius bridges.

At Kętrzyn-Wilamowo Airport, German squad Niebergall was besides applauded, i.e. a duo created by his father and son, as well as a squad of pilots from the Warsaw Aeroclub, for years connected with Aero AT-3 aircraft. Norbert Kasperek was besides presented on the Extra aircraft. He is the current Polish champion and multiple gold medalist of the Polish championship in aircraft acrobatics. Aviation enthusiasts and past could besides look at the classics of aviation, specified as the French "Musketeer" (woodwooden Jodel D.140 Mousquetaire), as well as the Polish "Antek" An-2, on which a 300 PLN deck could be held a sightseeing flight around the area. There were besides spectacular parachute jumps, including the formation of Jumpers "Sky Magic".

The screenings were accompanied by a commemorative release – "Mazury Air Show", and the full event could be followed, among others, during the broadcast on the network.
