In September 2025 Zapad-2025 maneuvers will take place in Belarus. Initially, they were to be located right at the border with Poland, but it was decided that military exercises would be carried out more in the country and would be smaller. The Minsk authorities explain this with the desire to "reduce tension". However, the expert of the Institute of Central Europe Krzysztof Fedorowicz estimates this differently. In his view, the reasons for these changes are completely different, and the actual motives were hidden from the public.
