The Sejm decided on Friday to reduce the wellness premium for entrepreneurs. The Act provides for the introduction of a two-elemental basis for the assessment of the wellness contribution for entrepreneurs — to a certain level it would be flat-rate and from surplus income to percentage. The rules will apply from the beginning of 2026 and the change is expected to cost the state budget PLN 4.6 billion.
Szymon Holovnia “toughly sought success”
Biejat was asked in Toruń by journalists about the statements of coalitionists that the Left's vote against the simplification of the wellness contribution was part of her campaign.
— I have the impression that the passing of this bill was due to the election run of Marshal Simon Holownia, who was persistently seeking any success. This success of Mr. Holownia ends in an increase in the gap in the wellness system. This will end in increased queues and collapse of region hospitals. This is an absolutely scandalous change and I will do anything to halt specified ideas," Biejat replied.
She pointed out that electoral campaigns would yet end, and citizens would stay with a mediocre wellness system. “ Contrary to what Simon Holovnia says, It is not the hairdressers and shoemakers who will benefit most from this, but the people who gain 50,000 to 60,000 per period in single-person business. “The Levite candidate assessed.
“Hand in hand with the Confederate”
— It's a terrible idea. I regretted the fact that Rafał Trzaskowski and Hollowing, who have been attacking Sławomir Mentzen so powerfully over the past weeks, in Friday hand-in-hand with the Confederacy voted to cut spending on the wellness system, de facto privatization of this system, added Biejat.
Biejat said The Left will call for the elimination of the wellness contribution and the transition to wellness backing from the state budget. — To yet halt maintaining fiction. The wellness contribution has become a fiction. The maintenance of the wellness strategy has been transferred to staff and the worst earners,” said Biejat.
Race against Mentzen
When asked whether he agrees with the judgments appearing after Friday's vote that "there is no request to wonder what consequence Mentzen will accomplish in the election, due to the fact that he already rules Poland," Biejat said.
— I agree with that statement, and I've been talking about it since the beginning of the campaign. Unfortunately, today, both Trzaskowski and Hołownia race Mentzen for harmful projects to rotation the state. This will make average people worse and worse in their lives. I besides have questions for the Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański, how will he cover the gap in the wellness care system, where will he cut? Are we going to cut down on education, culture or railroad? I encourage you to vote for me due to the fact that I will not race Mentzen. I'm going to put a dam of ridiculous ideas into creating a state that's comfortable for Mr. Mentzen, due to the fact that he's a millionaire, he's got a fewer apartments and a house, and he can handle it. However, it will not be a country where average citizens can cope, according to Biejat.
The presidential election will take place on May 18. On Friday at 16 o'clock, it was time to submit candidates before this year's election. These include: Artur Bartoszewicz, Magdalena Biejat, Grzegorz Braun, Szymon Hołownia, Marek Jakubiak, Sławomir Mentzen, Karol Nawrocki, Joanna Senyszyn, Rafał Trzaskowski, Marek Woch and Adrian Zandberg.
