For a fewer days, they're gonna make it 500 km. respective twelve Polish Army soldiers and uniformed service officers were on the 2nd Motorcycle Rally route. They will follow the conflict way of the 10th Cavalry Brigade commanded by Colonel Stanisław Maczek in September 1939. The rally symbolically started Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish.

– Your rally is simply a tribute to the large soldiers of the Polish Army, brave, faithful oaths who defended their homeland and later sought to regain it," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence against the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw during the solemn launch of the 2nd Motorcycle Rally "The way of past – March of the Black Brigade".

With pride and respect

The organizer of the rally is the Uniform Motorcycle Club “Smoking Barrels LE MC Poland”, which brings together active and retired soldiers of the Polish Army and officers of uniform and rescue services. We don't just want to mention history. We want to stand in the places where our predecessors fought, cross the roads where Polish soldiers moved, light candles on their graves, thin over their memory and pass the communicative on to our children and subsequent generations of Poles – explained Krzysztof Kubiak, rally commander and club head. He besides appealed to participants of the rally to drive with pride, but above all with respect, through places marked with blood and courage of the Polish soldier.

By the time the riders embarked together with invited guests, among whom were advanced officials of the state and military commanders, they laid the wreaths and lit candles on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. They besides entered the memorial book. The participants of the ceremony besides celebrated a minute of silence the memory of the deceased late Gen. Broni Mirosław Rozanski, erstwhile Commander-General of the RSZ and erstwhile Commander of the 11th Lubuska Armoured Cavalry Division, who continues the traditions of General Maczek's troops.

This is where the Żagań, where 11 DKPanc is stationed, will be the first halt of the rally. Motorcycles will participate in celebrations of the celebration of the Lubuskie division. During the ceremony they will give the commanders of this unit the Polish flag they received from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers.

Message to Young People

During the race, 44 riders will drive 1,500 km. The stops on this way – the vicinity of the High, Kasina Wielkie, Rzeszów, Łańcuta or Kraśnik – are connected with the conflict way of the 10th Cavalry Brigade and its subdivisions of September 1939.

– erstwhile organizing a rally commemorating Poles who fought for our freedom, we show the young generation that there are patterns and values worth caring for, especially in the current global situation and threats from beyond our east border," said Colonel Rez. As the officer stated, in Polish past we have many heroes, whose patterns we can show. “We want to remind them during our rally, showing various passages of our history,” said Colonel Rez. Deaf.

The rally will end on 6 September in Warsaw, at the 1st Armoured Division monument. Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish took the honorary patronage over the project. Media patronage of the rally is held, among others, by "Army Poland".
