Lech Walesa took the level on the presidential candidates. The elections are coming in large steps, and the erstwhile president spared no strong words towards Sławomir Mentzen and Karol Nawrocki. He stressed that "we are on the verge of a civilian war", which could detonate if Rafał Trzaskowski lost the election.


Lech Walesa served as president from 1990 to 1995. In an interview given "Rzeczpospolita" he was asked what would have happened if he had won one more time in the 2023 parliamentary election of the Law and Justice Party. The erstwhile president stated that it would be "unimaginable."

"We are inactive on the verge of civilian war," he noted and added, that it would detonate if Trzaskowski lost. Lech Wałęsa spared no strong words in relation to the PiS and Confederacy candidates.
