Lech Walesa served as president from 1990 to 1995. In an interview given "Rzeczpospolita" he was asked what would have happened if he had won one more time in the 2023 parliamentary election of the Law and Justice Party. The erstwhile president stated that it would be "unimaginable."
"We are inactive on the verge of civilian war," he noted and added, that it would detonate if Trzaskowski lost. Lech Wałęsa spared no strong words in relation to the PiS and Confederacy candidates.
– Neither Mentzen nor Nawrocks are able to bring about good solutions," he said. The erstwhile president predicted that in specified a script "Poland will not have any friends abroad again, it will stay isolated. The nation's gonna get pissed off, go out on the streets. There'll be shooting."

On Friday, a debate took place between presidential candidates in tv Republic. Almost everyone participated, but Rafał Trzaskowski, Magdalena Biejat and Maciej Maciak, who was not allowed into the tv building.
The last debate before the election will be held on Monday, May 12. The event will be organised by tv Polska in cooperation with private stations: TVN and Polsat News. The debate will be attended by all presidential candidates (13).
