Bloodthirsty Tusk was not bloodthirsty. Caution in Expose

Conversation with PIOTR Szumlewicz, president of the Trade Union Alternative

– Donald Tusk's Exposé lasted 124 minutes. That's little than in 2007, erstwhile he spoke 185 minutes. That can be done shorter, they proved: Suchocka – 30 minutes and evidence holder Belka – 21. specified a long exposé is incompatible with what political marketing specialists teach.

– If I were in Tusk's place, my exposé would last a maximum of half an hr and make up all the specifics. I didn't like the form of a protracted, moralist story. I was peculiarly amazed by 2 quotes from John Paul II. I had the impression that the first hr was just an introduction, the last half hr was a presentation of ministers, and the substantive part took about 10 minutes. The 3 blocks that won the election a year ago declared they wanted to regulation together, so you could better prepare yourself.

– And I was amazed that this bloodthirsty Tusk, as PiS presents him, was not peculiarly bloodthirsty.

- Yeah. I have run out of ways to settle with the Law and make good changes to the regulation of law.

– How do you measure the composition of the Council of Ministers?

– any names may rise doubts. Minister of Science, who has no technological achievements. Kosiniak-Kamysz – there is no military connection.

- I wouldn't choice on Kosiniak. possibly he'll learn.

– There was quite a few talk in the election run about clerical bureaucracy. Meanwhile, the Tusk government is, alongside the Morawiecki government, the most many in history.

– due to the fact that the coalition actually consists of 9 groups. From what I hear, the bigger conflict will be with vice ministers, which could be up to 120.

– For me, a unionist, besides many resorts are doubling. We have the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, and at the same time the Minister for elder Policy, which is part of social policy. There is besides the Minister for Equality, the Minister for civilian Society, which is simply a unusual construct. I wonder why the Ministry of manufacture was created in Katowice, erstwhile we have the Ministry of Economy. I received this as a signal that the coalition would take care of the miners even better than the PiS. And yet, many KO voters believe that we request to decision distant from coal.

– We ran out of seats, so we had to make fresh ones.

– It's kind of like that. Each ministry is to have deputy ministers from all coalition groups. most likely to look at each other's hands. It's a terrible bureaucracy that can paralyze the work of individual ministries. It's not good practice. alternatively of organization activists, I'd alternatively see experts there.

– Which minister is the most you promise yourself?

– After Minister Bodnar, who is well prepared to service as Minister of Justice. But there aren't many specified experts in this government. In view of the hard situation of public finances, I was hoping that the Minister of Finance would be a recognized expert, whose respective revolve around the Civic Coalition.

– You don't like Andrzej Domanski, the economist at Balcerowicz School?

– I have been in contact with Domanski many times and in my opinion it presents a kind of populism. How is he going to improve the state of public finances and implement electoral promises? Fortunately, he resigned from the tax-free amount of PLN 60 1000 per year, as this would put the state and local governments in a very hard situation. The continuation of all the social PiS programmes was announced, adding "grandmother". I've asked Mr. Domanski about this before, and he answered me something about the regulation of law.

– Most of the economical part of the exposé afraid entrepreneurs, not workers.

– Donald Tusk felt that entrepreneurs were a group in their own way special. It's up to the Prime Minister what's a precedence and what he chooses to start. The fact that he chose the alleged leave from paying contributions may rise doubts, as this is the privilege of a single social group. It's a shame he didn't offer interest for not paying his wage on time. He did not mention fresh forms of social dialogue. The transparency of the finances of public trust organizations, including churches. The Prime Minister besides forgot about science. In Western countries discipline is the engine of civilization's progress. States are investing billions in science. In Poland, I have the impression, discipline has been a part of the coalition games for 30 years. In PRL, at least at rhetorical level, power was more curious in technological improvement than today. But let's look for positives. I think Tusk will unlock most of the resources from the KPO. That's good, but this program should be modified by now. I hope that 20% of the increase will be given to the budget and this will happen in 2024. I'm glad the teachers are gonna get a 30% raise. It is only a pity that the fresh power plays 1 against the other, perpetuating teachers and forgetting social workers. Balanced, personal

Conversation with Dr. RYSHARD KESSLEREM, a polytologist

– How do you justice Donald Tusk's exposé?

– First of all, I was amazed by his caution, balance of words. It was a very emotional, individual occurrence, referring to our history. In my opinion, the Prime Minister has shown that he is simply a man of the state of the European class who reminded his fellow countrymen that Poland is an crucial point on the planet map. Tusk returned respective times to the marches of 4 June and 1 October, which were his idea, and greatly contributed to the victory.

– respective coalition politicians with whom I spoke said that it was hard for them to keep concentration during a two-hour speech.

– The Prime Minister has devoted quite a few time not only to our geopolitical situation, but besides to Ukraine. It was very crucial to me. He spoke of these crucial issues in abroad policy that he broke the Law and Justice, but at the same time he did not attack him violently, but gently, which even amazed me. The presentation of each of the fresh ministers took a long time. Given all that, I don't think the exposé was terribly long. Donald Tusk took his time, was calm, relaxed. On the 1 hand, he wanted to appear as a statesman, on the another hand as a specified man. And he did it.

– Even the coalition Members hoped that the speech would be more specific.

– He only focused on a fewer things. I was amazed that he spoke so cautiously about women's rights and did not mention black protests.

– due to the fact that these protests were not organised by his group and contributed to the failure of the PiS.

Maybe. Despite this emotional exposé Tusk had everything under control. He just said what he wanted to say. The motto of his electoral doctrine was himself. His return to Polish politics, which ensured victory. That is why the Prime Minister spoke so much about his feelings, and practically all about others. He didn't want to share his victory.

– The presentation of ministers, especially those from coalition groups, was not overly exaggerating.

– but for his laudation in honor of Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish, he was very abstinent. He spoke very sparingly about the Left or Poland 2050 as such.

– The coalition consists of 4 parties, and counting with groups forming part of the Civic Coalition and the Together organization – as many as nine. It's hard to hold that arrangement with a hard hand.

– A compromise will be needed in making many decisions. In the meantime, that word seldom fell during the Prime Minister's speech.

– due to the fact that neither Tusk nor Kaczyński like that word.

– That's right. Compromise is besides sharing part of power and no strong leader likes it.

– Which of the ministers do you have the highest hopes for?

Adam Bodnar. I value Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish, but I wonder if he should be directing another resort. I am pleased with the nomination of Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, although I say she would most likely call to be head of the Ministry of Education.
