Meanwhile, representatives of the shipyard present signed a contract to acquisition 1 of the key systems for the ship.

RECLAMA

The contract with British company James Fisher and sons PLC provides for the transportation and assembly of a complex of hyperbaric chambers along with a life support system. They will let deep-water dives to be conducted on board the ship, but besides aid divers who have suffered an accident or crews of damaged submarines.

The chambers will minimise the hazard of decompression disease. It's an highly dangerous condition. It appears as a consequence of a abrupt change of force and can lead to death. That is why the diver, who in an uncontrollable way came to the surface or the seaman on the submarine at the time of the seal of its hull, should immediately scope that chamber. Its operator will adjust the force to the appropriate values and then gradually reduce them so that the body of the victim gradually adjusts to changing conditions.

The complex, which will be on board the Ratownika, is among the best in the world. Importantly, it was correlated with the NATO Submarine Rescue strategy (NSRS), which is simply a major part of which is small-sized batyskaf. The vehicle may descend below the surface and by means of a peculiar lock adhere to the hatch at the bottom of the submarine. The crew from the damaged unit passes to the batiscafu and is exported to the surface. The vehicle is then drawn aboard the ship and the injured pass straight from it into the hyperbaric chamber.

– The combination of the experience of shipyards in the construction of ships with our cognition of the rescue of submarines and saturate diving will supply Poland with crucial operational capabilities. This is crucial in the context of investment in the future submarine and protection of offshore critical infrastructure," emphasises Rob Hales, head of defence department James Fisher.

Marcin Ryngwelski, President, speaks in a akin speech PGZ War Shipyard. “The lifeguard will supply the Navy with advanced capabilities for the rescue of submarines and saturate diving essential for operations in the Baltic Sea,” he notes. As he assures, the PGZ War Shipyard, as the first choice shipyard for the Polish Navy, will guarantee the integration of this advanced system.

A Jan Grabowski, Vice president of the Polish Armed Forces Group“It is an honor to sign a contract for a state-of-the-art strategy whose primary task is to save lives and guarantee maximum safety according to the highest standards of reliability.
