The Presidential Palace informed that Karol Nawrocki's visit to Hungary would be limited only to a gathering of representatives of the states of the ‘Wyszechradzka Four’ – Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Nawrocki will not meet Prime Minister Viktor Orban due to controversy over his fresh visit to Moscow. The President's decision is criticised by Confederate politicians – including the leader of the conservative-liberal wing of the Sławomir Mentzen party.
‘With Putin recently, apart from Orban, Trump, Xi Jinping and Modi, leaders of the most powerful countries in the planet met. Are we gonna boycott them all now? Would we besides boycott peace talks with Russia if individual someway invited us to the table? Orban and I have some. common interests And it's worth taking care of. I don't realize this demonstrational cancellation of gathering him. Even if we do not talk to Hungary, who can we deal with in this Union?" wrote Sławomir Mentzen on social media.
Critically, the Nawrocki movement was besides assessed by Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik – the Euro MP of the Confederation.
"President Karol Nawrocki should not cancel the gathering with Prime Minister Viktor Orban! This is simply a mistake. In the fight for normality in an increasingly murderous EU, strong alliances must be built with anyone defending national sovereignty! Do not succumb to the propaganda hysteria of Tusk's coalition, which likes to call ‘Russian agents’ all who do not jump over Ukraine and do not want to give them everything for nothing. Orban met Putin? Trump too! Should we cancel gathering him, too? Of course not. Let us not fall into absurdities resulting from their pitiful propaganda, let us put Polish affairs above this and yet start building our strong global position!” – Zajączkowska-Hernik said.
Nawrockie won't meet Orban due to the fact that he's seen Putin before.
On Sunday, the head of the global Policy Bureau Marcin Przypocz informed the president of the resignation of the gathering with the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Karol Nawrocki will only participate in the summit of the Presidents of the Visegrad Group in Ostrzyhomi. The handyman explained that the decision is set in the context of Orban's Friday gathering with Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
The President's decision was praised by politicians of the governing camp – usually critical of him – including the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Radosław Sikorski and the Ministry of abroad Affairs Marcin Kierwiński.
