Nearly 140 soldiers joined the 6th Mazovia Territorial Defence Brigade. Participants of basic training in 2 modes: continuous and weekend training on Saturday, on May 24, took a military oath. The ceremony took place in Nieznamierowice in the territory of Przyspodskie.
The oath took place at a peculiar time - on the eve of the 77th anniversary of the death of Witold Pilecki, which was an chance for an even stronger than usual tribute to the achievements of the patronage of the Brigade. Among the guests was the nephew of the rtm. Pilecki – Mr Andrzej Marek Ostrowski, who gave a lecture to the soldiers before the oath, dedicated to Rotmaster. The oath besides had a unique dimension due to its location. Not in a unit, not in a large town, but in a tiny town. This shows the union of the Brigade with residents of the Permanent territory of work - regardless of the size of the village. The attitude of the soldiers who took the oath has not changed - for each of them it was a minute of emotion and even sadness that the training was over.
- I'm sorry. The full “Sixth” was an amazing experience, we supported each other, and the instructors were leading us well, teaching us, correcting what had to be done, calling us to give as much as possible. We are wholeheartedly committed and content with what we have been through here - says Private Marta, and Private Adam adds: - The training was demanding, the bubbles on our feet are gone, but the pain in the muscles remained and will most likely stay for a while. The emotions are very big, the service is the fulfillment of my children's dreams, which my grandpa instilled in me - besides a soldier.
With a peculiar birthday present, he enjoys, without hiding the emotion, grandpa sage. Adam:
- I'm sorry. I am arrogant of my grandson and his attitude. I'm glad the household tradition will continue. My pride spreads and at the same time my tears spin in my eye.
During the Saturday ceremony, participants of the basic training course conducted in 2 modes were sworn to the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade banner: in continuous mode in the Princes and in weekend mode in the fresh Town over Pilica. According to the school company's head of weekend training, Lieutenant Gabriela, the cognition to be acquired to complete the training with a affirmative consequence is the same for continuous and weekend training.
- I'm sorry. We meet all weekend, it requires participants to be involved, disciplined and able to combine civilian life with the military. Participants and cards must be powerfully active and take care of the organization, resulting in advanced achievements from both tactical, shooting and later summary at the oath.
The next incarnation for basic training will take place as part of the nationwide task “WOT holidays”. “Sixteen” will start on July 5.
Consciousness at the location of the execution
After the emotion of the oath, the time came for reflection. On 25 May, soldiers of the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade took part in the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the death of the patron of the Brigade – rtm. Witold Pilecki organized in the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic. Today, it is simply a museum, but years ago, the building on Rakowiecka 37 was a Mokotov prison. It was there, on May 25, 1948, that the rht. Pilecki was shot in the back of the head.
Honoring the hero on the anniversary of his death, 6MBOT soldiers attended Mass and authoritative celebrations at the Museum. The Assistant of Honor exhibited the 64th Battalion of the Light Infantry in Pomochówka. To celebrate the memory of the Rotmaster and another heroes who died in the service of the Homeland, the Appeal of Memory was read and the salute was given. At the time of Pilecki's death, at the wall of death, the deputy commander of the Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Arkadiusz Kawka, lit the fire.
The commemoration of Rotmaster at the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic was attended by relatives of Rtm. Witold Pilecki, representatives of state authorities and cultural institutions, directorate of the Museum and many delegations.
Additionally, as part of the nationwide commemoration of Witold Pilecki's rtm in respective twelve cities in Poland, the memory flashed. This was besides actual in Radom. The soldiers of the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade, headed by the commander, Colonel Witold Bubak, representatives of the Radom delegation of the National Memorial Institute together with the warden, Mr. Danuta Gawlik, and a delegation of the planet Union of National Army Soldiers, Fr. Radom together with the president, Jerzy Kaczkowski, lit the plaque of Rotmaster Witold Pilecki at the car School Complex.
